Synus Lifting

Synus Lifting

In the upper jaws, the anatomical spaces located just above the teeth are called the maxillary sinus.  Maxillary sinuses maintain their lifelong growth.  The increase in the volume of the sinuses leads to a decrease in the volume of the bone in the upper jaws. These bone losses that can be considered physiologically acceptable may reach dimensions that will not allow implant applications. In this case, if implant therapy is to be performed, a special surgical intervention should be performed to reduce the volume of the sinuses called Sinus Lifting and increase bone volume. With this operation, which can be performed under local or general anesthesia according to the patient's request, bone particles are placed between the jawbone and the sinus mucosa and bone formation is expected in the following six months. For this purpose, the bones to be taken from the patient's body will be used, as well as bone or inorganic materials from bone banks. After the bone formation is completed, routine implant applications are started.
